Recovery
I
was in a wheelchair when I left, but haven't had to use it for over a
year or more, now I use a walker, cane or rollator. I'm still crushing
my goals, even if they are small. One of my goals was to lose weight,
I've lost a ton of weight and I'm wearing clothes that I haven't worn
since the stroke.
I have Fight Song by Rachel Platton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo1VInw-SKc as my theme song because I have a lot of fight left in me. I listen to it once in awhile if I'm having a bad day, then I'm reminded of how far I've come and I move on, don't let the little obstacles stop me from improving.
I have had people tell me that I am an inspiration to them. Thank you, I like to keep a positive mind & attitude and not sweat the small stuff. I have come a long way from where I was five years ago and I'm not done yet. If you are struggling with something, take a break and go back to it, be persistent and don't give up, this isn't for sissies!
